Question #1 - Brain Teaser
You are given 9 coins and one old-fashioned balance scale. All coins weigh the same, except one which is heavier than the rest. How would you determine which coin is the heaviest while only being able to use the scale twice?

A vending machine offers three drink selections - Tea, Coffee, or Random. However, the machine is incorrectly configured so that each button does not give what it claims. If each drink costs 50¢, what is the minimum amount of money that must be put into the machine in order to figure out which button gives which drink?
